
| | The story. The Costruzioni Meccaniche Scortegagna derives from a previous company established in 1907 by Silvio Scortegagna and brothers. At that time it was an important company in mechanic machinery. The products were machine for wool working. In 1946 was produced the hack saw machine "Ercole" followed by the automatic version, called "Ercolematic". It began the most importane hack saw machine in Italian and European market. Some months later was produced the first disk cutting machine: the famous "Komet". In 1952 was built the hack saw "Falcone". So the Scortegagna company became a Leader in producing cutting machines. In 1970 Europa knew the biggest hack saw machine that was built till that moment: the legendary Ercole 1000HE. In 1980 was bought the company Rüsch of Dorbirn (Austria). This way started the productione of bandsaw machines, from the little Rüsch AS 250 to the big Rüsch 800. At the moment the Scortegagna company is in the country of Vicenza, at the bottom of the alpi mountains and its building is seated in an area of 15.000 square meters. | | | | Most parts of the machines are made inside with CNC machines, so an high quality standard is guaranteed, a standard that is typical of Scortegagna’ s products. A staff of skilled people plan every detail of the machines, from the project to the production. Every machine is checked before the delivery in every part, both mechanical and electrical. | | |
